INFUZE is an exciting collaborative Leeds–based project uniting academics, policy makers, businesses, and local communities: all seeking to explore and trial new ways to reduce private car ownership and reshape transport systems to work better for more people. The findings will be used to create a toolkit for sustainable mobility patterns, supporting wider change across the UK.

I joined the team at the Royal College of Art to create a variety of assets for INFUZE, from icon sets using their versatile and energetic design system, and social media templates to promote events and sign-ups. Additionally, I photographed community outreach events and created interactive infographics to visualise and track INFUZE's diverse project activities.
Skills: Research, Categorising complex evolving information, Icon design, Social media template design, Event photography, Infographic design, Using Flourish to build an interactive timeline
Following a design system to build icons
The INFUZE brand identity is energetic, versatile and fun. It is a system of different shapes, united to form paths, representative of how INFUZE is applying a diverse and inclusive approach to solving transport problems sustainably. I created icons using this system, with light and dark versions for a wide range of use.
Creating templates that last
As a project with limited time and resources, setting up adaptable easy-to-use templates on Canva was essential to helping them professionalise their online presence. I set up templates for Instagram and LinkedIn for a variety of purposes, such as event promotion, and announcing new publications.

Creating infographics

INFUZE wished to create infographics to share their activities with communities around Leeds, as well as to promote knowledge exchange within the team. Through conducting in-depth research, I proposed categories to break down INFUZE's activities, to help track how the project was evolving over time. I set up an interactive timeline tool using Flourish, where INFUZE research activities, events, and outputs over the lifetime of the project are added. I also proposed possible infographics showing how INFUZE's more macro aims could be visualised.
