International Assembly (INTL) is a renowned design conference held annually in Glasgow. In 2024, I took part in their Live Brief competition, with 100+ contestants. The Brand Identity set a brief to use humour to highlight a daily annoyance. The catch, only 24 hours to do it!

Myself and my project partner bonded over the ignorant comments made about our different dietary conditions and restrictions. Taking much inspiration from our grandparents as the primary offenders, we created a bingo game for use during mealtimes, as well as product memorabilia. Judged by prestigious designers such as Jack Renwick, our entry gained a spot in the Top 10 Finalists!
Skills: Rapid ideation of designs under time pressure, Teamwork, Prototyping, Pitching
Mentors for the brief: Agency of None

Being humourous under time pressure is hard!
With less than 24 hours to generate ideas, visuals, and execute into a presentation, we still made time to enjoy getting silly with the copy, that played on common dietary restrictions speak and took inspiration from labelling on packaging!
Merchandise to match
Seeing as it is often the older generation who dismiss or misunderstand dietary restrictions, we also launched a range of 'granny' themed memorabilia alongside the bingo game. Now your Nan can have a tea towel reminding her of what she just said…
